I wonder if there is a difference between happiness and joy. For me, happiness is being fully present for an experience, like the one with your little nephews at the playground, and joy is more pervasive, choosing to en-joy life itself. IDK. Does that make any sense? PS Love the toenail color.
Hi Linda - I like your definitions and mine are somewhat similar. To me joy is a more transcendent experience than simple happiness, with happiness very closely related to a feeling of contentment to me. Both are moments of presence certainly and both are often choices as well. I love the toenail color too! That makes me happy for sure. Nice to meet you here on this platform.
